Common practice nowadays including so called disposal fee. But as long
as they do a good job, LOL! Go to a tire shop to have a set of new
tires, they have environmental fee, same with batteries.


EPA regulations come to mind


Cost of doing business, just like the light and phone bill.

I don't mind the tire charge. I've sometimes kept the old tires for
another car or the like so they don't charge if they don't have to
dispose of them. Dirty rags or cleaners is just part of everyday
overhead.
