When I tried to open the door, it moved about three inches then stopped. It

Yes it's a garage door, has no safety eyes and the door opens manually
with no trouble other than the weight of it. Genie says it's does not
support this model anymore so I'm leaning towards just replacing it rather
than do a piece by piece thing.
Thnaks for your help!

Thanks for clarification, Mark.

If you hold the wall switch / button down, can you force the garage
door to operate?

I would have thought safety eye alignment, but you have none? Not a
good idea unless you have the newest technology - where safety up/down
is controlled at the power head. I only know of one brand that does
that.

So. I'd start checking any wire connections, wire caps and wire
oxidation / corrosion. At the wall switch / button, low voltage
transformer or at the power head. Clean and reattach wire connections.
