As I was typing the last comments on my project glue up, I heard a crash
in the shop.

I knew what happened but did not want to look.

The ton of clamps and cabinet weight got the best of one of my sawhorses.

Yikes! I have eight or ten of those same saw horses. I've used them
for everything but, I guess fortunately, have been phasing out their
use.

Too much plastic I guess.. Under a load the legs would splay out a bit by
bending.

When the cabinet end of the work surface landed the 2, 2x4 beams broke
in the same spot on each.

Makes sense. Looks like they broke where they're notched.

I'll let it sit for another hour or so and remove the clamps. ;~)

I have had a lot more weight on these saw horse over the years but they
have reached the limit to their usefulness.

Plastic tends to degrade over time. I've had mine for eight or ten
years so I guessed I've been warned.

It's a shame, they showed no signs of being over loaded, as it turns out
they were rated for 1,000 lbs. in pairs. At least the new DeWalts that I
bought have steel legs and 2.5 times more capacity.

I use mine mostly for finishing, anymore, so they might last a little
while longer.
