Of course there isn't, there can't be. How could one prove that he
didn't say it? That's just being pedantic to insist upon it.

When "proof" is not possible, "credible" is the next best. It is far
more credible that he didn't say it. For if he _did_ say it, it would
most certainly be in the record. How else could it be known & quoted?
