reasonably well. Otherwise they'd have closed too...
No, the point is that many pubs are packed but in the same general area
you will still find empty pubs waiting to fail. It's not the case that
number of customers exceed the capacity of the pubs. Well run pubs
survive, badly run pubs tend to die.
