True and the gates are not that tall, so they could be climbed over.
I'm not wanting to make a fortress because as you say, anyone
determined could get in, but something as a deterrent to opportunists.
It's just that a decent pair of large bolt cutters (or angle grinder)
might well cut through the gate itself. And that is going to cost a lot
more to fix than a chain.
Not necessarily, just weld it back where it was cut. Costs less than a new
chain.
