The oil for my clippers has just run out (literally - seems that the
bottle
is about as oil-tight as a Royal Enfield or Sunbeam S7/8!).
Went to Boots, only Philips spray stuff/cleanser at £silly.
I hope that the oil isn't just light mineral oil - not the sort of
stuff I
want on such implements.

Is there a 'special' oil and a source? Can't seem to find anything
useful.

Baby oil would probably do and it would be safe for skin contact - it is
just a mid mineral oil.

An update: on an impulse I bought a bottle of Johnson's Baby Oil and it
seems to work. Tried it on the cheap trimmer and the speed increased
noticeably. Now to see how long it lasts.
