I think you'll find they have changed that approach:
The past decade or more I've alternated between Direct Line and
Privilege, who are both part of the same group, they are always
"surprised" when I want to cancel, but "sorry, that's the best we can
offer" and the other of them is always cheaper than anyone else ...
