It will be much cheaper for the rest of the UK.

If Scotland did get independence, it would be rapidly followed by regions
of the rest of the UK. Many of whom have the same grievances as Scotland.

I doubt if Wales and N Ireland will push too hard for concessions
because they are both heavily subsidised by England already.
