Hi all,

Posting on behalf of a friend, who has a Philips car CD player. It's
buzzing when playing CDs, but not when using the radio (so probably
not a ground/alternator fault?). The buzzing seems to go up and down
in volume with the music being played. It doesn't have the symptoms
of a dirty lens (skipping etc).

Could this be a worn spindle motor (the player is several years old)?
Any suggestions as to the cause would be appreciated.
