But, actually, it isn't "their ilk".

The difference between the number of births and the number of deaths in
England and Wales alone is around the same - ~300k - as the annual net
migration for the whole of the UK.

So, perhaps, if those who thought the UK was so overpopulated hurried up
and died, preferably without breeding first, it'd help to achieve their
aims.
