That seems to be the Greens policy since they
apparently want to stop the import of food.

Britain actually managed to feed itself quite adequately
during WW2 when food imports were drastically curtailed.

Not saying that it makes any sense to go that
route, but it wouldn't kill half the population.

In fact it would kill less than are currently killed by what they over eat.
