Personally, I'd switch to 24 hour time all the time. It must makes
more sense and avoids a lot of confusion. If the entire country
switched to it, after about three days it would be perfectly normal
and when someone says I'll be there at 8, you know it is in the
morning.

Just to **** off the naysayers, I'd switch to metric like the rest of
the world too.
