"General Motors Co. is recalling about 64,000 of its plug-in hybrid Chevrolet Volts over concerns about a buildup of carbon monoxide when a driver forgets to turn off the car. Two injuries have been linked to the issue.

The recall covers Volts from the 2011 to 2013 model years. GM intends to implement a software update that limits the amount of time a vehicle is left idling, which is unique for the auto industry. GM said it is aware of two injuries related to carbon monoxide exposure."
