This wa also common in Old Testament Jewish law. Blood was the only
thing that would atone for sins. See Hebrews 9:22

Christianity changed all of that. See First John 1:7


Not for the Mormons it would appear.

I'm not saying you have to believe it - but that is the difference
between religions and Christianity.
For as long as man can remeber - and beyond - in most "belief
systems" blood was required as payment for "sins" - however they were
interpreted.
In Christianity the requirement for the spilling of blood was not
removed - but the spilling of ONE MAN"S blood was considered
adequate to cover the sins of ALL WHO BELIEVE.

That's good enough for me!!!!


well yes that's the crux of Christian theology so it seems the Mormons
aren't remotely Christian

That point has been argued for years. I'm sure SOME Mormans are
actually Christian - but at it's core, Mormonism and Christianity
differ significantly.
