Default Craftsman warranty replacement

I had a Craftsman T-Square (48-inch) with an adjustable T-piece
(adjustable for position along the 48-in straight-edge but not
adjustable for angle). The T-piece's attachment to the straight-edge was
becoming a little sloppy, so that the far end could move 1/8 inch or more.

A Sears dealer store replaced it by a 48-inch square with an
angle-adjustable (as well as position-adjustable) T-piece that has a
slightly wedge-shaped contour, meaning that the straight-edge cannot
move in relation to the T-piece when it is tightened down at 90 degrees.

I am very satisfied.
