For you youngsters out there , a carb is an analog device for mixing fuel
and air in approximately the proper proportions to burn efficiently .
And some were weirder than others. For example, the SU carbs on
the MGA and MGB sports cars. (Weird, but really a nice design -- and no
Lucas electrics to go bad on that part. :-)
However, the SU electric fuel pump was infamous for quitting in
the middle of a trip. :-)
