I'm going to remove the old stuff and re-do it soon.

Is this a fiberglass (FG) tub? They can flex and break the caulk line
along the edge of the wall. Water gets under. If so, I would fill the
tub with water (simulate a person's weight) and use Acrylic latex
caulk. Leave the tub filled to assist curing of the caulk. Longer is
better if you can allow it.

Acrylic latex caulk is very flexible with less chance of it breaking
the seal where needed. YMMV

Ceramic tub and job is done.

Once I removed the old caulk it was obvious I did not properly prep the
area the last time I did it.
