performance difference, nor did the mileage come back up during that

It may also be, that newer engines / fuel systems are less
dependent on the exact composition of the fuel.

It's too pricy for me.


That is the main drawback.


100% gasoline is hard to find because motorists
won't pay the extra price. It has nothing to do
with federal renewable fuel mandates. If the
EPA allowed more ethanol to be blended with
gasoline, motorists would buy more than the
mandates require.
