Anyone recognises this connector? There's no single sign or mark on it
to indentify. First thought JSP but could not find it. Tried Farnell. No
joy.

The closest i could find was the Molex 90136-1208, and that was a
poor "match".
The shape of the pins are rather unusual; i suspect a specialized
power connector.
It might help to give dimensions: pin spacing, shroud dimensions.
Looks like vertical PCB mount.

The pictures as shown by my browser has been cut on all four sides.
Using a picture viewer shows the whole picture. It looks like a boxed
header like the Molex you mentioned, though it is not vertical mounted
but sideways. Dimensions 28x7,5x4mm ex the soldering pins just visible
underneath the PCB on one of the pictures. They're about 3mm. Spacing is
2mm. It's on a PCB with a switch matrix in a YAMAHA wind instrument.
It's a CMOS environment so there's not much current.

Thanks so far.

DigiKey seems to be a better source, but..
1) Hirose Electric Co Ltd P/N DF3-8P-2DS(01) is another "almost" match.
2) Molex Inc 0353630860 or 0530150810 or 35363-0810 look very close, but
are tin.
3) JST Sales America Inc S08B-PASK-2 looks very close, but is tin.
...better..
4) TE Connectivity 2041061-8 looks close; gold.
5) Hirose Electric Co Ltd DF3DZ-8P-2V(51) or DF3DZ-8P-2V(51) or
DF3-8P-2V(50) all look close; gold.

NOTE: all connectors i mentioned do NOT have the "special" end shape
shown in the foto.
Hope this is of help.
