Like I said, they haven't even got a shipment in, so all the bags were
last years bags. They had only one left, and it was 49.99.. The guy
said they have been unable to get in touch with the distributor... so
they are not sure when they will get it in, or if they will get it in.
So they jacked the price on last years stuff.

He didn't say they jacked up the price, I said that... He had no idea
what the price was previously.
But they definetly jacked the price up on last years... The price online
for my store is different than the store price... which is wierd.. by $3..


What I can tell you Jeff is that it's not usually advisable to believe what
the guy in the apron says about this kind of thing. Sometimes they really
are made aware by the store management, but generally - not so much. He may
indeed be correct but it sounds to my ear like he's making this crap up.
Jacking up the price on last year's inventory is just not how HD operates.


That's really surprising. They always used to carry three
categories of most items - Good, Better, Best. Surprising they got
away from that.

Yep, now the store has one brand... HONEYWELL... but its HONEY NOT SO
WELL at those prices. Yea they have different merv ratings, but even
the lowest pleated was more than I was paying b4. So HD SUCKS.

Now you have me curious. Next time I swing by my local HD, I'm going to
look and see what they have - just out of curiosity.
