Default Metal stand for Nova 3K

The Teknatool Cast Iron legs are presently on a boat heading to the US.
They should be making it through the Woodcraft distribution channel in
6-8 weeks, maybe sooner if you stay on them. I've only seen a photo of
them, but they look very good.

One experienced DVR owner has adapted the Jet Cast Iron legs to his, and
is quite happy with them, but it will take some modification.

I've had my Nova now for about two years and at first I said it would
do as a good beginners lathe then I would replace it with some heavy
metal (Stubby or Oneway or Powermatic) but whenever I use it I don't
really feel the need for anything else. It has grown on me so I've
decided to keep it for a long time (much to my wife's relief). I
presently have it on a big plywood box filled with sand and it works
well but I would like a metal stand for it. Does anyone have any
suggestions or an old steel or cast iron stand for sale? I've seen the
metal stand at WoodCraft and it seems like it would be solid with a
little bit of welding. Teknatool's cast iron legs are gorgeous but
nobody sells them here yet (checked yesterday at WoodCraft) and buying
from Australia has huge shipping rates. Any suggestions, plans, or
photos to give me ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much,
Guy
