That works for email, but it does not currently work for newsgroups.
The filters are not working on the newsgroups.

I use Agent 7 for all my newsgroup activity. As well as it being an
extremely capable and configurable program, it has some top very
knowledgeable support personnel ready to answer questions on a
moment's notice.

I couldn't recommend it more.
