And I know how to SNIP

As far as those costly cartridges, Moen is one of them that have that
crap. Moen seems to be a fairly good name, but they rob you when you
need those cartridges.

WRONG. Moen will replace cartridges or any parts for free.

Yup! Moen is great about their warranty! Every company should have their
customer service!

Thats not what I discovered. Back in the early 90s my parents and
another relative had the same kitchen sink faucet. Both went bad around
the same time. I replaced the cartridge in both of them. Cost was
around $35 to $40 each. We were told the cartridge is not under the
warranty (normal wear item). I was working for a plumber at that time,
and I encountered several more of these same faucets with the same
problem. The faucet in my parents home was 7 to 10 years old, and I
think about the same for my other relative. Oddly enough, the
replacement cartridge lasted much longer, at least in my parents home,
which was sold a few years ago, but still had that same faucet and
cartridge.

Up here in Ontario Canada I've had cartridges replaced under Moen's
warranty, but I don't use Moen any more because They fail more often
then the , to me, more desireable Price Pfister. (which also have a
good warranty and are well supported here)

Is Price Pfister a Canadian company? where do you buy them?

They are carried by good hardware stores and plumbing supply outlets.
Don't think they are particularly Canadian - Looks like they just go
by Pfister now.

Lowes carries them in Canada - Home Despot used to, don't know if they
still do.
