Well in my case it was bacterial meningitis and they loaded me up with
penicillin and I was fine.

The doctor had been very busy and told my dad he could not make it until
afternoon...but on a hunch came early.

He told my dad that by afternoon it would have been too late.

Sheesh, I did not see what the big deal was. I woke up paralyzed but was
not too worried about it.
