No Costco here but there is a BJs. Sams is much better. We had a
Costco membership when we were in VT. We let it lapse because we were
no longer using it (when the switched to the Kirkland brand and their
tire inventory went way down).
What makes Sam's better? Last time I was in one was many years ago but
go to BJ's regularly. No Costco near here.
Not better, just different. We have both Costco and Sam's memberships. I
gravitate to Sam's, and Linda to Costco. The employees at Costco, as well
as a lot of the merchandise is also a better class. I prefer Sam's meat
dept, particularly the steak, their bagged salad, canned soup, gas, buy my
work cargo shorts there, and they also carry my preferred table wine.
That's about all I buy there anymore, but save enough over the course of
the year to make the membership fee worthwhile.
Costco does have one of the best deals on lunch, bar none, with their
polish sausage hot dog, guaranteed.
