I see Microsoft are wanting £110 for a copy of Word 2013.
I want to update my Word 2003 - but not at that price.
Can you still get the versions between 2003 and 2013 ?

Buy office home and student, it includes word and is about £90.

Quite so - I paid £15 IIRC. But of course it helps if you're a student
or have a loose connection with education.

The so called "home and student" versions don't usually do any checking
to see if you meet the terms. The academic or university versions
normally have to be bought in a two stage process with proof of student
status.
