Given the way a candidate's life is scrutinized by the media, many
qualified people would rather not run for office than get laid out on
TV. One or two may have even inhaled .

Indeed however given the known backgrounds of the politicos in office
now, it would seem that those in the 60%+ center don't have many
skeletons in their closets to worry about.
