Go read Matthew 25. Christ will explain exactly what
he expects from us.

Christians have a 2000+ year history of visiting those
in prison. In ancient times, your family was expected
to feed you in prison. Christians were the only reason
at lot of prisoners survived.


I had a strange notion that most people were
(are) good, and will do good if given a chance.
Since that time, I'm not as convinced.
