Do you have a faceplate that fits your lathe? Cut out a circle of MDF
3/4 inch thick, mount it on the face plate and turn it round and the
correct diameter for your sanding disks and Bob's your uncle. In
fact, on my small lathe I have one permanently screwed on the outboard
side of the lathe headstock and never have to remove it.
