siding. I think you mean that.
I used a lam-beam (laminated wood) to span 22' (4" X10" X 22 ft.).
Ledger board on the house framing was a 2X 10.
Shingled roof.
That will change the roof pitch and be easier.
He has a whole house generator that can be hooked up upon a power loss.

What happens when a hurricane hits Galveston and rips the cover off
the house?
