Default How much dust should I expect from operating a track cutting torch

My question is how true is that, does gas cutting generate a lot of
air borne dust?

A fair amount... most of it is coarse enough to fall to the floor within
a couple of feet of the cutting operation.

But what you don't know is what's in the steel. If it's alloy stuff,
besides the inoccuous red and black iron oxides that can result, there
can be toxic oxides of chromium, nickel, cadmium, and other nasties you
don't want in your lungs or settling on clean rust-free iron goods.

Good advice from your guys. Do it outside.
