preceded the 'little ice age' of the 17th-20th century

So you mean the 1970s predictions of an imminent ice age may be
correct after all :-)


of course - almost anything *could* be correct, including that
everything will come to an abrupt end in 15 nanoseconds.

Now there is one piece of social science research that really needs
doing. The frequency of occurrence of the words 'could' and 'might' in
articles about climate change compared with their average frequency in
other media articles.

I wonder if I could get a grant...
