They might still be volunteers, depends on if they are being paid or
not. Might be looking for free advertising.

Yes I've noticed that if you look on the bbc website there is no mention of
which companies were involved in any of the DIY makeover programmes. Whereas
for a programme like Grand Designs on channel 4, every single supplier gets
their full details published.
