The heat from my wood stove sets off my smoke(heat) detector is there a
detector that's better suited for use with a wood stove?


*The photoelectric type of smoke detector is recommended around kitchen
areas as it is less prone to false alarms from cooking. You might try
swapping yours out for a photoelectric type.
