fell on the cord. I think what happened was that when the laptop fell
on the power supply a plastic ring on the end of the plug came off
inside the laptop port.

Straight pin.
Bend a tiny right angle on the pointy end.
Poke it between the metal rod and the plastic thingie,
rotate, pull.
If it won't fit, heat it first.
