time to dry and wipe the outside of the lid clean.

Don't design a spout/close mechanism so prone to plugging...the area
between the outside of the spout and the inside of the outer cover isn't
accessible to cleanup. Plus, having to do so is an extra pita step that
shouldn't be necessary.
