All stores like HD, Lowes, supermarket chains, have cameras
pointing at all
aisles. I wouldn't exactly say they are being monitored. More
correctly
they are recording. The purpose is to protect the stores from
fraudulent
slip-and-fall lawsuits.

Me and JH did some T1 cable extension work in some Sears stores and the
loss control folks had a monitor room where they were watching the
whole
store inside and out. ^_^

Okay. I bet shoplifting is higher in a Sears than a supermarket. And
slip-and-falls higher in a supermarket where there are spilled
liquids that
people can pretend they slipped and fell on. As for HD and Lowes??

I do a lot of data network, telecom, energy management and electrical
work in all the big name retail stores. Believe me, there IS someone
watching via the cameras. ^_^

You would be correct sir...Walmart as well...I can pull video anytime I
request it...Like the shady guy reeking of pot who tried to buy a gun
but I denied him from the get go...They said they would go to a
different store..Before they even got out of the store all the walmarts
in our market had their pics...Both him and his skank girlfriend in case
she tried..

That tech was developed in the casinos of Las Vegas. I have a new color
monitor and DVR in the box three feet from my desk. I may even set one
up here at the house. ^_^
