Actually that's the way to make electric cars work as far as heating
goes. Doesn't help in hot sun mind you..aircon...

Nope. The problem is that cars need a lot of energy, and energy storage
from batteries doesn't cut the mustard.

Fuel is amazing stuff. It's a first class compromise between weight,
bulk, safety, ease to turn into mechanical energy, and cost.

Nothing else touches it and we will be in a mess when its all used up...
