In this day and age? After the bad press?

The bank should be giving them their house back, getting as much of their
stuff back as is humanly possible, and compensating them handsomely for
their inconvenience. Sure, it won't replace things like pictures and
knicknacks and keepsakes. It won't erase the fact that the family has been
violated. It will, however, take a lot of the "edge" off.

I suspect all the teary-eyed statements from the homeowners are on the
advice of their lawyer. He'll be going for the jugular.
