Its very dangerous to use that stuff... I did the same thing once but forgot
to wear gloves and some of the solution was absorbed into my skin. Needless
to say, the next morning I was at the doctor's office bright and early.

I asked what she could do for me and she left the room and returned after
about 20 minutes and said $3500 a week, a company car, half interest in the
practice and stock options.

If I am using a water based stain I usually raise the grain three times
using a a weak glue water solution.The glue holds the "whiskers" out so
when
dry and lightly sanded they are easily removed ..

I tried a new technique about a month ago, instead of the glue water
solution I tried two teaspoons of liquid viagra and water . That was a
month
ago and after a multitude of sandings the grain has still not settled
down.
As a matter of fact even worse the grain direction has changed from
horizontal to vertical.... mjh
