Any machine these days needs at least 2GB of ram to run an AV.

Either (i) I am dreaming that this machine running XP with 1GB is
perfectly fine for internet/office apps/scanning and the like with
Symantec AV (and ZA firewall) or (ii) you may think you are speaking ex
cathedra but I am hearing something rather more lavatorial
