WD-40 was originally developed to keep rust off of the Saturn V rocket.
And who do you suppose developed the Saturn V rocket?

Nazis.

It all comes full circle.


Except (a) it was developed in California in 1953 and (b) the Saturn V
had few steel parts so rust wasn't much of an issue.
