Somewhere I saw an adapter that lets you refill those little tanks from
a larger one. Maybe you could save money that way?

I got one of those when the tanks were $5 or so each. I wasn't
that impressed. Now, with the tanks under $3, I wouldn't even bother
to google the valve.
