Default Lithium, PTFE or Silicone lubricant for convertible top?

Neither manufacturer seems to provide any guidance on this matter, and the
various relevant forums have thrown up a mixture of suggestions to use (a)
Lithium (b) PTFE / Teflon or (c) Silicone based lubricants.

Which should I use, or does it matter?

Need a bit more info really. Do you mean sliding, plastic parts which
are exposed? Metal gearing which is enclosed so won't tend to collect
dirt and debris if you use grease? Latches? Pivots on a tubular
framework? What sort of access is there? Are these parts which are
supposed to be lubricated? Why do you want to lubricate them anyway:
noise, wear, high friction, not working?
