And her sister ship the Britannic sank in 1916 because the crew were too
lazy to close the watertight doors in the bulkheads or climb up a couple

The watertight doors were electrically operated and closed from the
bridge.
All ships have doors in the bulkheads. Impossible to operate without
them.
But they failed to work in some cases on the Britanic

Portholes were left open by passenger it was a hot climate.

In Titanic, they were closed, it was cold.
