It won't, because you have a problem that the designers of the system never intended the average homeowner to diagnose and fix themselves.

IMHO this is one of those times that "if you have to ask, it's best to call in a professional." It actually costs NOTHING to call a professional and ask their opinion. You can always say "Not today, thanks" if they tell you that you should arrange a service call, and try a different outfit.
