Default Toilet Bowl Shattered into dozen pieces but repaired!

Actually it was more like 13 or 14 pieces - the tank was not yet attached. I was helping my friend. He wanted to replace the bowl half of his ubiquitous 3-gal AS 1960s era toilet. So we found a bowl, matching color, immaculate inside(his was stained almost black down toward the throat).

So we got the thing home and it slipped & fell in his driveway! Pieces everywhere. So at my insistence we got some waterproof china glue and glued it back together.

We installed it to the tank and bolted the combo to the floor guess what - the action was all slowed down! After releasing the flush handle, it was like watching a toilet flush at half-speed! I checked the linkage and water lvl inside the tank - all good.

Do you think the tiny gaps where the pieces of the bowl were glued together are causing resistence to water flow? Again, this bowl is identical to his original - minus the scummy black stains, maybe even the same year his came out.
