and they wer just after TVs not starving and after food.

And we havent seen anything like that when there
are serious floods and people were short of food.

Look at New Orleans post Katrina.

Didnt produce anything like you mindlessly silly hyperventilation.

In spades with the great depression there and in Britain.

And the rest of the USA was still working ok.

Look at Haiti post earthquake.

Even you should have noticed that that aint the modern first world.

And in all these cases there was someone else outside to at least help
somewhat.

And that didnt happen with Japan when they lost WW2 and they
didnt get anything like your mindlessly silly hyperventilation scenario.
