to use electric immersion heater when the sun shines
and save on FIT electricity bills, is this a good idea?
and can anyone spot a difference between
£190http://www.chrisrudge.co.uk/immersion.htm
and £31http://www.reuk.co.uk/Water-Heating-with-Surplus-Solar-PV.htm
?

That's far too much money though it's a good idea. *I posted about a
similar thing myself a week ago-ish.
How long would it take you to recover? Probably never would.
As per above, wait for the price to come down.
Meantime look at the weather forecast& *just use an ordinary plug type
timer.

£31, if heating a bath costs 50p
then that's 5 years payback,
assuming free copper wire!

So you have 62 baths in five years? Hmmm. That's one a month. :-)
